World of Abundance

Mission: Inspiring under-resourced people to see the abundance in the world around them by providing access, education and skills to live a purpose-filled life

Workforce Development

This workforce development program is an educational jobs program that equips participants with practical, transferable skills while addressing food insecurity. Through paid hands-on learning in community gardens and food forests, participants build confidence, stability, and pathways toward long-term opportunity. Inspired by local models of shared abundance, the program helps individuals recognize, steward, and expand the resources already present in their communities.

Community Gardens

After the devastation of Hurricane Helene, Swannanoa became a food desert almost overnight, with many residents facing hours-long trips just to buy basic groceries. In response, the Pearse Lyons Ace Foundation committed long-term support for a community garden project, and under the leadership of lifelong resident Steve Senn, the first season produced 1,960 pounds of fresh vegetables on just over half an acre. All of the harvest was distributed directly to local partners, demonstrating how community, land, and shared commitment can restore access to food with dignity.

Friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, our customer service manager ensures every interaction is a positive one. They keep communication clear, timely, and human.
