Tamara (Tammy) brings extensive experience solving complex program management, project development and implementation challenges. Additionally, she has a deep insight of the barriers facing the currently unsheltered populations through her volunteer services for the LORD. When she was very young, she felt called to dedicate her life to alleviate the suffering of people who did not have access to clean water and proper sanitation. Thus, she pursued a career as a Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Tammy has over 40 years of program and project management experience for disparate sectors including: Department of Defense, mining, power generation, tourism, and water management. She excels in her ability to develop solutions to complex problems within complicated regulatory frameworks. She prioritizes a team approach with stakeholders. She creates detailed implementation plans with budgets, schedules, workforce and equipment requirements.
Tammy dedicates her free time volunteering with rescue missions, food banks, prison ministries, international disaster assistance relief teams, and community emergency response teams.
Accomplishments:
Led several development teams for Denali National Park’s infrastructure expansion including emergency services, seasonal housing, and maintenance facilities and utility systems.
Led Contaminate site clean-up teams at Fort Wainwright (3 party Superfund sites), Denali and Glacier Bay National Parks, and Region 5 US Forest Service.
Led design and permitting team at Usibelli Coal Mine for the first Alaska permitted passive mine water treatment system, enabling new surface mining permit approval.
Led development team for Glacier Bay National Park’s infrastructure efforts including new wastewater treatment plant, fuel system and fuel dock, maintenance facility, housing, and access road.
Led construction onsite teams for two phases of the construction of the first Long Range Discriminating Radar system for Missile Defense.
Led Inyo National Forest facility, roads, and mineral program. Correcting years of maintenance backlogs utilizing partnerships with adjacent counties and cities through Memorandums of Agreements.
